Joel Balentine, Assistant Vice President and Commercial Lender at our Tuscumbia office, was featured as one of this year’s “Rising Stars of Banking” in the October 2023 edition of Business Alabama.

Joel is a native of the Shoals area. He earned an associate degree at Northwest-Shoals Community College in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Alabama in 2017. He also serves as the bank’s special assets manager and sits on committees throughout areas of the bank. He is active in civic groups and community organizations, including the Kiwanis Club. He graduated from the Shoals Chamber of Commerce EMERGE Leadership Program and recently graduated from Alabama Banking School.

This is a great accomplishment and well-deserved! Joel is a hardworking member of our First Metro Bank family, serving in philanthropic organizations in the community, and always going above and beyond for the Bank and for our Neighbors.
