First Metro Bank announces the recent addition of Joseph Southers, Senior Vice President and Limestone County President. Joseph will oversee the bank’s expansion into Limestone County with the opening of a new location in downtown Athens.

As a commercial banker who has served the Limestone County market and a graduate of Athens State University, Joseph is deeply invested in the community. He is an active member of the Huntsville-Madison County Home Builders Association and has served on the Limestone County Economic Development Board since 2011. Joseph is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County Connect and served as a board member on the Athens-Limestone County Hospital Foundation.
